An SUV collides with an 18-wheeler in Ellis County

Late last month a collision involving an SUV and an 18-wheeler resulted in the death of one  man. Around 3:00pm, the driver of the SUV veered into the path of the 18-wheeler. The SUV crashed into the 18-wheeler, became partially wedged under the vehicle and caused both vehicles to become engulfed in flames. Some of the flames even spread onto a nearby field burning approximately 20 acres. The 45-year old male from Mansfield, TX driving the 18-wheeler was not injured in the crash.  Unfortunately the 57-year old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
